Some weeks ago I had to arrange a pretty special photoshooting for a friend of mine over here in Switzerland. The vehicle in question is the Monteverdi hai 650 F1. Only three of it were ever made, a silver dummy and two red vehicles. The hai 650 F1 was built in the 90s in Switzerland and got introduced during the Geneva International Motorshow in 1992. Many components came from the Onyx Monteverdi team's Formula 1 race car. It is powered by a 3.5-liter Cosworth eight-cylinder with around 650 hp. Given its weight of 850 kilograms and its age, these are almost inconceivable figures. In 8 seconds, the Swiss super sports car accelerated to 200 km/h (!); theoretically, it would stop at 335 km/h. In Switzerland and in all of Europe it has no road registration, now my friend is with him in the united states and shows the car at The Quail during the Monterey Car Week. The photoshooting in Birrfeld, Switzerland was very interesting. I am very happy to share the result now. What do you guys think of the hai 650 F1? Have you ever heard about this CHF 850'000.- car? (Yeah, the car used to be TWICE as expensive as the Ferrari F40 and even CHF 45'000.- more expensive than the McLaren F1. back then...)
